    • Marc Records
    • With our pre-processing services, Ingram is offering our "best available" marc record.

While we strive to have a full level record available for every title ordered, "best available records" could also be less than full including: CIP, MLC, or brief level records.

Encoding levels associated with our records:

      • Full Level Records = Encoding level of blank, 4, I, K, or L.
      • Cataloging in Publication (CIP Records) = Encoding level of 8.
      • Minimal Level Cataloging (MLC) Records = Encoding level of 1, 2, 5, 7, or M.
      • Brief = very minimal record derived from publisher data pre-publication

    • ipage® On-Order Record:
What is an “ipage® On-Order Record”?
A brief MARC record of items that the library has ordered; it is created and downloaded from Ingram’s ipage®

      Why use On-Order Records?
This is optional, but many libraries load brief MARC records into their ILS System, so they do not have to build the order manually within their ILS System.

How to get ipage® On-Order Records?
You can download selection lists from ipage to create order records in the your ILS System and this will allow you to send the orders via EDI.
When you load this file of records, it creates a brief bibliographic record in the catalog as well as creating an order record in Acquisitions.
